GlobalTowne carries the full line of Takagi gas tankless water heaters. The Takagi heaters come in non-condensing and condensing tankless. The Condensing units utilize a secondary heat exchanger making them a lot more efficient. Takagi had discontinued the Takagi TK4-IN and also the Takagi TK3-IN indoor non condensing tankless water heaters. These units were 199K BTU and required 4" stainless steel venting for the exhaust and took it's intake air from the room installed in. The new Takagi T-H3-DV is a close replacement for the older TK4 and TK3 models and comes in either Natural Gas (NG) or Liquid Propane (LP).
The Takagi T-H3-DV is a direct vent unit and is a condensing model and is 199K BTU. The T-H3-DV uses a twin pipe system for venting. The exhaust and intake air are taken from the outside. The T-H3-DV can be exhaust vented with 4" diameter PVC, CPVC, Polypropylene and CAT III stainless Steel. This makes the Takagi T-H3-DV a good replacement for the older Takagi units as the same existing venting can be used.
