The Takagi T-H3J-DV is a condensing unit with a maximum of 160,000 BTU and is ideal for most all residential homes. The T-H3J-DV is a direct vent unit and requires a minimum of a 3/4" gas line. The T-H3J-DV comes set for either Natural Gas (NG) or Liquid Propane (LP). Unlike traditional non-condensing models, condensing technology captures heat from the exhaust gas and uses it to preheat the incoming cold water. This increases efficiency and reduces emissions -- Complies with Ultra-Low NOx regulations of less than 14 ng/J (<20ppm). The T-H3J-DV is a condensing unit and is very efficient and uses 3" PVC for exhaust venting and for taking it's intake air from the outside. The T-H3J-DV supplies hot water to domestic hot water systems (directly or indirectly) which can be used with storage tanks, recirculation systems, hydronic heating systems, radiant floor systems, and/or domestic & heating applications. With gas inputs of 160,000 BTU, the T-H3J can produce enough hot water for 1-2 major applications in most areas. Please see the specifications listed below.
