Smith/Takagi electric mini-tank water heaters.  These Pro Line specialty mini-tank heaters come in 3 different sizes from 6 gallon, 4 gallon and a 2.5 gallon.  These units require 120V power source.  These mini tanks hold water and are NOT tankless.  These units are compact and great for a small point of use application and could be installed under a distant sink and installed into the main hot water source and would serve as a buffer tank and you would get instant hot water at the sink.  The Glass Lined Tank and Anode Rod help protect the tank from the corrosive effects of water, and is accompanied by a 6-year limited warranty.

Takagi has recently announced that the Takagi T-K4-IN Indoor unit is being discontinued and will be substituted with the Takagi TK-310U-I indoor unit.  This substitution will go into effect immediately.  The TK-310U-I model complies with Ultra-Low NOx regulations and has a range of exciting features. Each indoor model includes a remote control as a standard feature. 3" PVC Concentric Vent Kit for Takagi Condensing Tankless Water Heaters

All of the Takagi condensing tankless water heaters vent to the outside and take the intake air from the outside using 3" PVC or CPVC.  Other materials are also allowed but you would need to refer to the installation manual.  If you are looking to have just one penetration through the sidewall or the roof for your venting then you would want to use the 3" PVC Concentric Vent Kit #196016.  The 3" PVC concentric vent kit can be used for venting out the sidewall of the home or vertical through the roof. This vent kit would be used if venting out a perpendicular wall.

4" Stainless Steel Venting for Takagi Non-Condensing Gas Tankless Water Heaters

All of the Takagi Non-Condensing gas tankless water heaters require to be vented to the outside using 4" stainless steel (AL29-4C) venting.  The Takagi non-condensing gas tankless can be vented horizontally out the sidewall or vertical up through the roof.  The 4" stainless steel venting is a sealed vent and will last a lifetime. 

GlobalTowne carries the full line of Z-Flex Z-Vent 4" stainless steel venting.  The venting comes in various lengths, 90 degree elbows, straight pipe and adapters.  Z-Vent contains a built-in, fail-safe gasket and locking band connection. No sealant is required.

Takagi 4" Combustible Sidewall Termination Kit

GlobalTowne is a Takagi Authorized Distributor and we now carry the Takagi 4" Combustible Sidewall Termination Kit part number 9008339005.  This sidewall termination kit is for non- condensing gas tankless water heaters that require a 4" stainless steel vent system.  The sidewall termination kit comes with 1 - 4" Female-Female Adaptor, 1 - 4" 90 degree Elbow, 1 - 4" Wall Thimble (4.0"-7.0") and 1 - 4" Sidewall Hood Terminator.  See image below.

Easy Link for Takagi Gas Tankless Water Heaters

The Easy Link for the Takagi gas tankless water heaters is for the commercial models and allows the contractor to manifold up to 4 units together without the need for a system controller.  The controls are already built into each model’s internal computer. Takagi Multi Unit Controller

The Takagi Multi Unit Controller #9008300005 is capable of handling up to 20 units at one time. It also works as a diagnostic tool that provides error codes.  The multi-unit controller can control from 2 to 20 units of the 510U (T-D2U) models, 510C (T-D3U-CV) models, 540 (T-H3) models, 710 (T-M32) models, or 2 to 10 units of the 910 (T-M50) models.  The multi-unit controller is also equipped with additional multiple functions;  “Pump mode”, “Alarm system”, “External fan motor” and “Freeze protection for Re-circulation system”.  The multi-unit controller ensures that each water heater within the system operates about the same amount of time.  The number of water heaters working during operation depends on the flow rate and the set temperature.
