Takagi T-KJr2-OS Outdoor unit Discontinued & Substituted with Takagi TK-110U-E

Takagi has recently announced that the Takagi T-KJr2-OS Outdoor unit is being discontinued and will be substituted with the Takagi TK-110U-E outdoor unit.  This substitution will go into effect immediately.  The TK-110U-E model complies with Ultra-Low NOx regulations and has a range of exciting features. Each outdoor model includes a remote control as a standard feature. In addition, this model covers both natural gas and propane needs, as it is field convertible with a supplied (LP) conversion kit.  Below are the specifications for the Substitute Takagi TK-110U-E.

TK-540P-NEH - Natural Gas Outdoor Condensing Ultra-Low NOx

GlobalTowne is now carrying the Takagi TK-540P-NEH outdoor condensing gas tankless water heater.  The Takagi TK-540P-NEH is an outdoor gas tankless water heater and is all set to be installed outdoors.  The TK-540P comes in either Natural Gas (NG) or Liquid Propane (LP) and is a condensing heater.  The TK-540P-NEH is 199,000 BTU's and can deliver enough hot water for 3 showers in the warmer climates and 2 showers in the cooler climates.  The Takagi TK-540P-NEH can be used with storage tanks, recirculation systems, hydronic heating systems, radiant floor systems, and/or domestic & heating applications.  See below for specifications.

Takagi 4" Combustible Sidewall Termination Kit

GlobalTowne is a Takagi Authorized Distributor and we now carry the Takagi 4" Combustible Sidewall Termination Kit part number 9008339005.  This sidewall termination kit is for non- condensing gas tankless water heaters that require a 4" stainless steel vent system.  The sidewall termination kit comes with 1 - 4" Female-Female Adaptor, 1 - 4" 90 degree Elbow, 1 - 4" Wall Thimble (4.0"-7.0") and 1 - 4" Sidewall Hood Terminator.  See image below.

The Takagi 4" Combustible Sidewall Termination Kit is approved for the following Takagi gas tankless water heaters:  T-KJr2/U, T-K4/U, T-D2/U, T-M32,  T-M32 ASME.

Easy Link for Takagi Gas Tankless Water Heaters

The Easy Link for the Takagi gas tankless water heaters is for the commercial models and allows the contractor to manifold up to 4 units together without the need for a system controller.  The controls are already built into each model’s internal computer. The Easy-Link system ensures proper modulation, using only the amount of energy required so that there is never any waste.

Takagi Remote Temperature Controller (TM-RE30)

The Takagi Remote Temperature Controller (TM-RE30) #9007666005 is an accessory that comes with the Takagi models TK-110C-NI, TK-310C-NI, TK-510C-NI, T-D2-IN, T-D2-OS, T-M32, T-M32 ASME, T-M50, T-M50 ASME.  The Remote Temperature Controller allows the output temperature to be adjusted beyond the factory settings, and works as a diagnostic tool for error codes.  (Not compatible with the Ultra-Low NOx models)

The Remote Temperature Controller (TM-RE30) gets wired into the Takagi tankless water heater and is able to raise and lower the temperature from 99° F - 167° F.  The remote controller has a function that automatically memorizes the temperature settings. In the case of power supply blackouts, the remote controller will still retain these settings when the power returns.

The TM-RE30 must not be installed where it gets wet and must not be installed in direct sunlight.  The Remote temperature controller can be mounted up to a maximum of 400 ft away from the unit.
